HOhME FAQ
A sound journey (often referred to as a sound bath) is a live, immersive experience where sound and vibration are used to create a deeply restful and meditative environment. Layered tones from gongs, cello, handpans and other instruments fill the space, allowing you to lie down, listen and experience sound in a calm and supportive setting.
Each session is designed as a quiet, welcoming space where you can lie down and simply listen. As the session unfolds, waves of sound move through the room, often encouraging deep relaxation, stillness and a sense of mental clarity. There is no technique to follow — the invitation is simply to rest and receive.
HOhME features Barry Mason, Lina Lotto and JuliLa. Barry Mason creates titanium gongs and brings a background in fine art, sculpture and percussion. Lina Lotto brings wellbeing experience, gong practice, percussion and her own forged singing bowls. JuliLa is a cellist, singer and improviser whose playing adds warmth and depth to the experience.
Sound baths are generally safe, but contraindications include early pregnancy (first trimester), pacemakers, epilepsy, severe mental health conditions (e.g., psychosis), metal implants, and severe sound sensitivity. People with these conditions should consult a doctor first, as sound vibrations can affect medical devices and trigger symptoms.
These sessions combine live performance, handmade instruments and an immersive sonic atmosphere to create a deeply engaging listening experience. The use of titanium gongs brings rich, resonant waves of sound, while cello adds warmth and emotional depth. Improvisation and a mix of instruments create a unique and evolving soundscape in every session.
